Joan Sundeen LMT
Joan is a Licensed Massage Therapist who has been practicing massage since graduating from MountainHeart School of Bodywork in Crested Butte, CO in 2016. Her passion for massage began long before massage school when she was a competitive skier and kayaker and sustained many injuries. Joan found that massage therapy was one of the best ways to heal, both emotionally and physically, and decided to pursue and share this discovery with others. Joan's massage practice integrates a variety of techniques, customized to each client, to address both physical and emotional discomforts. Joan has been working in the Telluride area for the majority of her career and has become very experienced in an array of services from deep tissue and injury recovery to relaxing Swedish and hot stone massages.
The Sundeen Therapeutics Experience
When you get a massage from Joan at Sundeen Therapeutics, each session is adapted and customized to your current needs. A brief client intake allows both you and Joan to decide what type of bodywork is needed for the day. You may experience a combination of techniques to address multiple aspects of your physiological needs. Joan's practice includes but is not limited to: Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular, Assisted Stretching, Swedish, Sports Massage, Injury Recovery, Trauma Recovery, Pre and Post Natal, Trigger Point Therapy, Reflexology, Abdominal work, Aromatherapy and Hot Stone massage.
Integrated Practice
After the session it is common for Joan to teach you a bit about anatomy and/or physiology and send you home with tools to keep your healing practice going on your own. Because healing doesn't stop on the massage table; Joan's stretching, breathing and self massage techniques will help alleviate and reduce pain and stress between massage sessions.

Joan will bring the massage table to you with all of the same offerings as the town location.
In home massages allow you to unwind in a familiar environment and when the massage is over you are right at home for a nap, shower or your favorite cup of tea.
There is a 90min minimum for
in-home massage.

Choose from an unscented Jojoba oil or CBD infused oils from Colorado based company, Lost Range. A 1000mg and 4000mg CBD spot treatment is available for more sore areas and instant relief.
